Camp Wonder is a week-long adventure uniquely designed to promote social skills and a sense of exploration for children on the upper end of the autism spectrum/Asperger's Syndrome. Using information provided by parents, activities will often focus on our campers' favorite themes/preferences. Campers will have opportunties to explore the wonders of drama, movement, crafts, and media while getting to know their fellow campers in a safe and nurturing environment. A final "presentation" for families and friends will conclude the week's events. A prerequisite for enrollment will be the completion of an information sheet on each camper to ensure that activities reflect camper's needs and interests. The camp is led by a veteran teacher with 30+ years of special education experience.
